Microsoft’s teaser hints at Windows 11’s new touch and gesture controls
The leaks haven't kept Microsoft from teasing the forthcoming Windows 11 features. In its official social media site Microsoft has informed its fans about its upcoming Microsoft Event on June 24 and the latest teaser revealing that Windows 11 features new touch and gesture control features.
The teasers that preceded them focused on the visuals and sound that come with Windows 11. The first teaser featured one of a close-up of the model's ear which could mean the new sounds will be released. Actually the leaked version Windows 11 already comes with an overhaul of Windows sound effects.
The new teaser is 9 seconds long, but it appears to confirm reports of a new gesture and touch-based experience for Windows 11.
In the teaser the model presses her finger against the glass. This points towards the long-rumored touch feature and gesture feature like the thought-of "Wake at Touch" capability , as well as a three-finger touchscreen-like gestures for tablets.
According to a report, Microsoft is exploring support for other gestures that use touch that include three-finger trackpad-style gestures using the touchscreen. Microsoft has also asked developers to provide feedback, however it appears that the goal is to send these gestures directly to the operating system.
This update will enhance the overall experience of gestures However, it will affect the behavior of apps using its own specific gestures.
Windows 11 predictions
Although Windows 11 has already leaked online, we believe Microsoft may offer some surprise surprises to come.
For instance, Microsoft has been internally trying out new native and inbox apps that work with Groove Music, Photos, Mail & Calendar and Windows Store. As per reports "Cherry Hill" is the codename used internally of"Cherry Hill" for the "broader UI overhaul", that includes the brand newly launched Windows Store and Photos app.
In the context of the project "Cherry Hill", Microsoft Store will receive the same redesign like the other operating systems that will roll out in the autumn. The new Store will be compatible with many different apps like UWP, PWA and Win32 application.
Alongside a brand new design and animated layout, Microsoft Store will be optimized for large-sized games, and developers will be able to publish unpackaged Win32 applications directly to the store.
A few of the new policies include support for third-party content delivery network. Developers are soon able to host apps on the store and update their apps with their own online services instead of using Microsoft Store updates.
It is important to remember that not everything been leaked online, and Microsoft might surprise us with a few surprises in the store. We can be sure to be impressed by 11 am ET on the 24th of June.
